Lockheed Martin's Santa Barbara Focalplane business is seeking integrated circuit design engineers for our Readout Integrated Circuit (ROIC) design team to advance our state of the art infrared (IR) imaging sensors. This role includes verilog RTL design of digital logic and controllers for our CMOS image sensors. The digital ROIC's developed at Lockheed Martin Santa Barbara Focalplane require several digital design blocks including data controllers and sequencers to integrate into these complex system on a chips (SOC's). This digital logic includes finite state machine controllers, instruction processors, pattern generators, high speed datapaths, memory interfaces, video data formatters, and several other blocks for use in digital IR focalplanes (FPA's). This roll includes verilog behavioral design of digital logic blocks, synthesis in the Cadence Genus tool, place and route in the Cadence Innovus tool, testbench generation and simulation of logic designs, and integration of blocks and simulations within the top level IC design, and interfacing to other IC designers and engineering disciplines for IR sensor development. Experience in low power design, mixed signal design, transistor level logic and cell design, Cadence SKILL scripting, and linux shell scripting is preferred. Engineering responsibilities include requirements and concept development, behavioral logic design of synthesizeable logic in verilog or system verilog, test bench development, circuit simulation, logic synthesis flows, place and route flows, lab testing and debugging of hardware, timing closure analysis, design for test insertion, code/design coverage analysis, hardware emulation, presentation of design review material, and support of IR sensor system design. Santa Barbara Focalplane is the leader in digital focal plane array integrated circuit technology and rewards creativity and design innovation. This is an opportunity to be a change maker for our national defense by helping shape the future of our expanding product line. Using cutting edge design tools, you may find yourself as part of the innovation behind mission critical systems for exciting programs, working on space sensors, or designing aerial surveillance sensors and drone mounted systems. In this role, you will be an integral part of a small design team where creativity and flexibility are encouraged. Relocation:
