Manufactured Systems Lead


Summary:
Under the supervision of the Production Supervisor, the Manufactured Systems Assembly Lead will take ownership for the accurate and efficient completion of manufactured systems; ensuring assembled life safety systems are of the highest quality while providing support to the assembly teamThe Manufactured Systems Assembly Lead will ensure production staff assigned to the assembly area are properly trained and have the processes, equipment and inventory necessary to be successfulCommunicates regularly with the Production Supervisor on status of jobs, challenges with inventory, machinery malfunctions and employee issuesSuccess in this role requires a thorough understanding of CMC products& processes, attention to detail, and uncompromised commitment to quality.
Responsibilities:
Strict adherence to all safety policies and practices with a strong commitment to workplace safety.Serve as the primary resource for completing jobs in the manufactured systems assembly area.Provide training, guidance, and other support to additional members of the assembly team, ensuring high quality and productivity.Maintain inventory and organization of materials in the manufacturing systems assembly area, ensuring an accurate, clean, organized and safe working environment.Coordinate flow of assembled systems and the activities of production assembly employees.Work according to a production schedule to ensure on-time completion of job orders each week.Maintain inventory stock levels, and responsible for supporting and/or conducting cycle counts as needed in manufactured systems assembly.Notify Production Supervisor of any machine malfunctions or product defects.Strong understanding of CMC inventory accuracy methods and processes.Print labels and instruction cards as required for assembled products.Inspect and spot-check in-process and completed assemblies for accuracy.Assist in issuing and closing job orders as needed.Ensure accuracy of all manufacturing systems assembly related inventory and bin locations.Participate and follow CMC's ISO procedures as they relate to manufactured systems assembly lead position.Participate in continuous improvement projects and 5S related performance teamsParticipate in warehouse audits in accordance to CMC's ISO quality management system.Maintain a high level of inventory and job order accuracy.Maintain regular and punctual attendance.Comply with all company policies and procedures.Other duties assigned as necessary.KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Must have excellent attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation of each process in a legible format with minimal errors.Mathematically calculate quantities of materials required on job orders.Read and understand English and interpret job orders.Effectively present information and respond to questions from management and co-workers.Must have strong communication skills and the ability to train production staff on all job requirements.Computer experience requiredExperience in MRP systems preferred.QUALIFICATIONS (Education and experience)High School diploma or GED required2-3 years production experience, with supervisory and work planning experienceUnderstanding and experience with Lean production environments preferred.A combination of training, education, and experience that is equivalent to the qualifications listed above and that provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
